Robby Jones Bio
Robby Jones took first place at Charlotte Speedway in the Beginner Bandolero Class. The Winter Heat in January was Robby’s 3rd race in this new division. Robby had fast time on the road course the following day. This was his first race on a road course. Jones has the #34 reminiscent of his Father’s racing career in the 90’s.
“We are grateful to Tiger Tom for all of his help with the bandolero!” says Robby.
Jones started racing Quarter Midget race cars in 2009. He moved up from Novice to Jr. Honda half way through his first season. Robby had a win at Garden State and track record at Silver City and Wall. He was voted Rookie of the Year and won Regional Points in his division.
In 2010, he moved up to Senior Honda and added a second car in the Light 160 class. Robby finished of the season winning 4 out of 5 of the final races. He seems to be a natural! His cool-headed and patient personality is a perfect fit for racing.
The Jones Family is looking forward to racing Bandolero’s at Waterford Speedway this coming season on Wednesday nights. Robby will continue to race Quarter Midgets at Silver City in Meriden, CT. There is alot of fierce competition on those small oval tracks. And with a little practice and alot of heart, he will be a force to be reckoned with this coming season!
