Art is... something made special. My passion for art developed early. My parents created a workspace for me, complete with a desk and a homemade easel, thanks Dad! My first recognition came in the first grade when my drawing was selected to represent the Town of Framingham as the town holiday card. My work was continually displayed throughout my elementary, secondary, and high school years. During this time I had the honor of exhibiting several award winning pieces in the Boston Scholastic Art Awards. In 1997, I completed my first commission for a four wall mural for a child’s nursery and began my career as an artist.
From 1999-2004, I attended Framingham State College where I studied Fine Art and Art History. I experienced a variety of art processes, including printmaking, oil painting, watercolor, sculpture, photography, color theory. I also studied art history including, the Baroque, The Northern Renaissance, Asian Art, Female Patronage, and Modern Art. The knowledge I gained gave me the exposure and confidence I needed to progress in my own work.
After college I opened my studio at Saxonville Studios, and started Greetings by C. Lincoln, Handcrafted Stationery for All Occasions. Greetings by C. Lincoln has now become a subsidiary of CLinCoLnArT.com, a website that showcases all of my work including the Greetings stationery, oils on canvas, printmaking, and most recently C.LinCoLnArT Recycled Paper Jewelry. Since opening my studio, I have actively participated in over 50 local art exhibitions and fine art fairs, have over 40 pieces in private collections throughout the United States including commissioned works. I have sold hundreds of Greeting Cards and Jewelry Creations and currently sell these small works at local Metrowest Gift Shops, Art Galleries, and through my websites.
