My name is Donna.  I am currently a stage 4 breast cancer survivor.  My journey began in December of 2003.  At that time, I was diagnosed with Her2 positive, stage 4 breast cancer.  This is a protein-based breast cancer; whereas the protein encapsulates the cells and reproduce in a very aggressive way.  Then, in February, 2006 while continuing being treated for the 1st bout against stage iv, I was then diagnosed with another form of breast cancer; the 'hormonal' based breast cancer.  Both were ductal carcinoma.  So treatments were stopped for bc # 1 and new treatments began for bc #2.  As of October, 2009; although all paperwork still states that I am stage 4 indefinitely.....I feel WONDERFUL!  Just as long as my tri-weekly infusions continue; I hold a safety net against the cancer spreading.  In addition to my now daily dose of Tamoxifen, of which I will continue daily with over the next 2 years.

This website was created to share with you my personal experience with breast cancer.  I am a survivor and wish to spread the positive self-motivating thought process that I have used within my own life.  Some of us may need medical assistance with staying positive, not allowing the depression to totally debilitate our life.  Thankfully, I had never broke down to the need for medication.  My personal choice was to find the positive and stay focused on the needs of my family and gracefully accept the help from others.  Friends, prayer, oils, Holy Water have been my daily strength.

Hopefully, you, your family members, and loved ones will leave this sight with positive feelings knowing that 'attitude' is the one thing that we are in control of.
